Author
I was born in Manerbio in 1998 and I grew up in Malagnino, a small town in northern Italy.
I approached art at a very young age, when I used to carefully observe my grandfather as he made his oil paintings; I also used to enjoy creating little figures with play-dough, while I inevitably made a mess on the living floor.
As I played with play-dough, I also started to draw. Drawing for me was a way to communicate in an intimate way, but above all it was fun.
I’ve always loved to observe big and small things equally: an ominous storm in the sky as well as the legs of an insect.
This tendency of mine allows me to travel to other worlds with my mind while I enjoy movies, books and video games that bear strong imaginative elements and deep, beautiful environments. I was deeply influenced by the illustrations by Alan Lee and John Howe.
Before I was born, my family already owned the book “Faeries” by Alan Lee and Brian Froud: it was my first huge inspiration. After graduating at the Bruno Munari Art School of Cremona, I decided to start the three-year program at Nemo Academy in Florence. That’s how I fell in love with the world of concept art. For the first time I was both scared and excited about my future, I felt like I had found my way in life and for the first time, I had a real goal: to use my imagination and art skills to find a job in the concept art field. I’ve always imagined my world as a Tolkien-inspired shire: a safe place where I could imagine incredible places set outside of its borders, a place where I coudl set my creativity free. Now I feel like I’m standing on the edge of my shire, I feel like I’m about to start a highly anticipated journey. I can’t wait to challenge myself, I can’t wait to improve my skills as I venture in this world full of ideas and creations.
